At And Co, we believe perspective isn’t just about changing what you look at, it’s about choosing how you see it.

It’s easy to focus on the negative aspects when faced with a challenging situation, but shifting how we view things can have a powerful influence on our minds. While we can't control everything that happens to us, we can control how we respond.

The ampersand functions as a constant reminder that there is always another way to view a situation. It invites us to see beyond the obvious and uncover alternative paths.

Lenses

We each have our own set of lenses through which we perceive the world. Shaped by our experiences, thoughts, and emotions.

These lenses are ever-changing; at times we see things through a lens
clouded by fear, doubt, or negativity, making it difficult to move forward. Other times, we see through a lens of hope, clarity, or positivity.

By consciously swapping between these lenses we can gain a well-rounded view of any situation. When one lens feels limiting, the ampersand encourages us to change to one that serves our goals and well-being.

Scope

Our perspective isn’t just the lens we choose to look through - it’s how we adjust the focus within it.

Scope refers to the width of our view, how broadly or narrowly we choose to look at something. When we zoom out too far, we might lose sight of the details that matter most. Conversely, zooming in too closely means we may miss the bigger picture.

The ampersand reminds us that we have the flexibility to adjust our focus. It’s about expanding or contracting your view to realize the full perspective comes from seeing more than just what’s immediately in front of you.

Acknowledgement

Pivoting your perspective doesn’t mean ignoring the challenges you face or pretending they don’t exist; it means acknowledging the other perspectives available.

Acknowledgment is the key to our philosophy. When we acknowledge another viewpoint, we free ourselves from the limitations of our own view.
